Could guided affective imagery support emotional access in eating-disorder care?
Preprint. Not peer reviewed.
What changes after guided imagery and before optional movement?
A new preprint by Matthias Behrends turns participant diaries from a 2020 pilot into that focused study question. It defines what a prospective study should measure without claiming that imagery caused improvement or was an active component.
The proposed sequence measures emotional state before imagery, emotional access after imagery, change after optional movement, then recovery, delayed effects and harms.
We welcome conversations with researchers and institutions interested in imagery, emotional access, movement engagement, component sequencing, feasibility or safety.
