Certification
DEWA certification is the Academy's quality framework for people who want documented recognition of competence in the techniques and methods included in the Deep Emotional Work system.
The framework separates participation, supervised training status, and demonstrated competency. A person may attend Academy training without automatically receiving a practitioner designation, and certification is issued only when the relevant standard has been met.
Practitioner Certification Standards
The current public draft standards define certificate types, certification levels, competency domains, portfolio requirements, supervision, renewal, protected designations, quality assurance, complaints, and professional boundaries.

Supporting Assessment Templates
The assessment templates are a separate controlled companion document for session assessment, portfolio review, renewal review, and event participation records. Where a template and the standards diverge, the standards prevail.
Current Status
The current standards and templates are marked v2026-07-05-draft, with the effective date to be set upon adoption. They do not by themselves announce active certification issuance.
Professional Boundary
DEWA certification is not a clinical license, psychotherapy qualification, diagnosis, treatment authorization, or substitute for the holder's independent professional responsibilities, supervision requirements, institutional governance, or local law.
